The power is still out for many residents, and for some that means no phone service either.
The following info was obtained by a resident who made the trip to the Hway Dept in Hampton Bays, as no one could reach them by phone.
The Town will be doing a storm pick up of debris hopefully starting some
time next week.
We will need to separate the branches and sticks from
leaves and other material.
Branches should be no larger than about 4
inches in diameter and cut into manageable pieces.
Wood debris other
than branches needs to be cut into manageable pieces as well, not left
in large sections. Leave everything on your property border where it is
accessible to the cleanup crews.
They are overwhelmed right now with
emergency work so the actual starting date is not fixed but most likely
won’t be until next week at the earliest.
If there are any changes we
will let you know.
