Halloween in the Shores 2010

Kathy Ambrose sent the following to be posted in the blog.

I thought you might want to post some pics of our annual Halloween parade. It has been a tradition in the Shores for years with the year round residents and provides our children with a safe, fun and supervised Halloween activity.   We are grateful to the Fullam's who graciously host the event, and the hard work of the Oliver and Zaneski families.  All are welcome to join in the fun-- the parade typically meets up around 5:30- 6 pm on Halloween evening at the tennis courts and the children trick or treat around the neighborhood and Warfield Way ending at the Fullams house. This year we had the addition of Donald Oliver's haunted fire truck- A great time was had by all!  Thanks!

HOUSE FOR RENT SUMMER 2011

Spend your days in a lovely, charming home, enjoying a beautiful private community beach on Little Peconic Bay, (5 minute stroll), kayaking on Wooley's Pond (access across the street), or playing tennis on the community courts. The beach has a large raft for swimming and sunbathing, wonderful pavilion for a little shade, swings for the children, and gorgeous sunsets.

The house has 4 bedrooms and four bathrooms. It is fully furnished. The great room has wood floors, a beamed wooden ceiling, and wood burning fireplace. There is a wonderful screened porch with slate floors. The bedrooms are all large. There is a first floor laundry room, outdoor shower, and 2 car attached garage. There is wireless internet access. Norman Tengstrom

I am sending you an email from Laurie "Tengstrom" Wilfert, who had originally contacted us through your blog - thank you.
We visited her parents, Norman and Elenor Tengstrom in Florida and both had many fond memories of Southampton Shores.
They met here and were married in the late Forties and often stayed at her parents house across the street from us, where we later got to know their daughter, Laurie.

If you own one of these boats, or know who does, please contact the President, or email me and I will send the info on to him.  If they are not claimed soon, we want to get rid of them.
